Housing and homelessness charity Shelter has produced an online classroom kit that offers an interactive programme of themed work exploring the complex issues they deal with every day.  Four key stage 2 lesson plans (for Geography, English, Citizenship, Design and Technology) explore what ‘home’ means to children in Britain and around the world. They consider what it means to be without a home, and encourage feelings of empathy with families who are homeless. The free resources include videos, drag and drop activities, games and information slides. The kit is designed to inspire students while meeting key curriculum objectives. (The kit has now been updated to include material for KS1 students as well)
