Save the Children: School Link September 7, 2007

Posted by admin in : Geography , trackback

School Link is a new project from the Save the Children charity for Key Stage 2 students. It has been developed to give teachers and pupils a better understanding of the lives of children in other countries. Through the activities and materials on the site, pupils will be able to learn about the children in countries where Save the Children works. The first schools to be profiled are in rural farming communities in the Punjab province of Pakistan or Yunnan Province in Southern China. Children can learn about these schools, the communities, the children who live there and the country they live in.

An important part of the project is Friendship Friday, a fundraising day for schools in Pakistand and China that will be held this year on Friday 19th May.
